"You Don't Understand Me" was written by Per Gessle and Desmond Child and this was the first time Gessle had co-written a song with an international songwriter. Roxette recorded acoustic versions of the songs, "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "You Don't Understand Me" and "Help!", at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, England. "Help!", a cover of the "Lennon–McCartney" song originally recorded by The Beatles, was released originally in the "''Don't Bore Us - Get to the Chorus!
